the workshop, conducted by gallery director and photojournalist, Wen Saunders, will allow participants to actually mount, mat, and frame, and finish their photograph or flat art.  Saunders choose to offer the workshop due to several people who expressed an interest in entering The Regional Art Show ( RAS ), but were frustrated with the prospect of locating quality affordable frames and framing their piece. “Several entrants approached me, wanting to know if I would help them frame their work.  The workshop environment provides such a service to a group at one time, gives great networking and feedback of art among participants, and allows me to keep my other gallery commitments”, says Saunders.  All materials including professional quality archival black metal frames, mats, and UV glass are available at the workshop.  Participants should bring at least one (or several to choose from) photograph or flat art (8x10 or 11x14) for framing; no framing experience is necessary.  Additional art and photographs may also be matted and framed during the workshop.  Saunders will conduct step-by-step techniques about mounting, framing, finishing, and work with each participant individually.  Whether you simply want to learn more about framing or just have that awesome photograph that is in need of a quality frame, this workshop promises to meet your need!
